For Dancers

The Goal

Dancers use the E-DanceSport platform as a tool to continuously improve competitive routines and key skills, motivated by monthly event milestones, dynamically updating rankings on our Leaderboard, and personal judge feedback on each submission.

If Dancers  choose to share their videos, E-DanceSport publishes highlights from the finalists on social media to help Dancers gain global exposure.

How it Works

  1. E-DanceSport announces new Challenges (ongoing skill building for any type of dancer) and Competitions (specific dance styles, music, or choreography to work with) weekly with specific guidelines and deadlines
  2. Dancers prepare and submit videos, with the help of their Teachers, to respond to Challenges and Competitions (entry fees listed in each event details page)
  3. Professional Judges from around the world review the submissions and provide a score and encouraging, constructive feedback on every video (a super value for the entry fee, compared to live competitions)
  4. E-DanceSport uses the scores to calculate rankings on our Global Leaderboard and rewards Prize Coins to the top ranked Dancers and Teachers, in each Experience Level category
  5. EDS Coins can be redeemed to enter future Competitions and Challenges on the platform, or transferred to Teachers for additional lessons (Teachers can redeem their coins for cash)

Frequently Asked Questions

Each Competition and Challenge will state its price in EDS Coins (which standardize across all countries’ currencies) on the event entry page.  EDS Coins can be bought on the My Account page via PayPal or Credit Card from anywhere.

Typically E-DanceSport Competitions cost 100-200 Coins and Challenges cost 50-100 Coins.

1 EDS Coin is worth 0.20 USD which converts (based on latest foreign exchange rates) to approximately 0.15 GBP, 0.16 EUR,  3 ZAR, 15 INR.

The E-DanceSport Leaderboard sorts first by Experience Level and then by Score within each Level to establish overall rankings.  Rankings can be filtered by Event, Dance Style, Dance Skill, Level, Age Group, Format (number of dancers), or Geographic Region so users can see their rankings in any way they like.
